Production in Czech industrial sector declined more than expected in June, the latest figures from Czech Statistical Office showed Monday.
Industrial production decreased 2.2 percent year-on-year in June at constant prices. Economists had forecast a 2 percent fall in output.
Compared to the previous month, production fell 0.3 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis.
The value of new orders received by the industrial firms decreased 2.9 percent year-on-year.
Separately, the statistical office reported that construction output decreased 8.4 percent annually in June in real terms. The number of building permits granted in June dropped 14.4 percent compared to the same month last year.
