UK-based engineering solutions provider Weir Group Plc. (WEIR.L) Thursday said its first-half profit before tax from continuing operations fell to 38.7 million pounds from 157.7 million pounds in the prior year.
Adjusted profit before tax from continuing operations was 108.2 million pounds, while it totaled 181.8 million pounds in the previous year.
Earnings per share dropped to 17.4 pence from 53.1 pence last year.
Revenue declined to 999.7 million pounds from 1.144 billion pounds in the prior year, reflecting order input trends.
The Board has decided to hold the interim dividend flat at 15 pence.
