There are a lot of speculations about a supposed new Rolling Stones album in the works. The band released a small video teaser called The Rolling Stones - Coming October 6.
The clip shows the band inside British Grove Studios, in Chiswick, West London. Recently The Sun reported that the group ran into Eric Clapton at this location and recorded two songs together. Furthermore last December, guitarist Ron Wood indicated that the Rolling Stones were going to record a new album.
Wood had mentioned the group had been on a "blues streak." The band has always had their roots in blues music. From their debut album on, there have frequently been covers of standard blues songs along with originals with heavy blues influence. Producer Don Was leaked to the French publication Le Figaro that a new album will be blues covers. Was is quoted as saying, "The record sounds very crude, very authentic. It captures the essence of what they are."
