Koninklijke Philips N.V. (PHG) reported earnings for its first quarter that Increases, from the same period last year

The company's earnings totaled EUR151 million, or EUR0.16 per share. This compares with EUR76 million, or EUR0.08 per share, last year.

Excluding items, Koninklijke Philips N.V. reported adjusted earnings of EUR224 million or EUR0.23 per share for the period.

The company's revenue for the period fell 4.7% to EUR3.905 billion from EUR4.097 billion last year.
