Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has reportedly turned down an opportunity to star as Alice in Tim Burton's Disney remake of Alice In Wonderland.
A source told U.K. newspaper The Mail on Sunday, "Tim thought she would be perfect, but she wants to go to university."
The source further explained that Cobain, 17, is "incredibly focused and sensible."
Instead, Mia Wasikowska, who was featured in HBO's In Treatment series, will star as Alice. She will act alongside Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. Linda Woolverton, writer of Beauty and the Beast, penned the screenplay.
The film is set to be released in March 2010.
