Amerie channeled 1920s stage queen Josephine Baker during a recent photo shoot for Essence Magazine. The glam shots can be seen in the November issue.
The R&B songstress is gearing up for the release of her latest record, In Love and War. It will be her fourth studio album and the first since forming her very own record label, Feenix Rising. She set up the label following her departure from Columbia Records.
The new record will feature a collaboration with Trey Songz on a cover of Mint Condition's "Pretty Brown." She also works with rapper Lil Wayne on the song "Heard 'Em All" and Fabolous on the song "More Than Love."
In Love and War is set for a November 3 release.
