OSI Systems Inc. (OSIS) announced that its Security division, Rapiscan Systems, has received about $29 million in orders from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection or CBP to provide multiple units of its advanced cargo and vehicle inspection solutions for customs inspections and security screening and various air and sea ports of entry.
The company said that the products to be provided under the contract reflect the broad range of Rapiscan's cargo and checkpoint inspection product line including the Rapiscan Eagle Mobile and the Rapiscan GaRDS Portal.
The company stated that the fixed and mobile configurations utilizing both X-ray and gamma-ray technology provide the U.S. government with comprehensive inspection solution for the detection of a wide variety of threats and contraband.
