Ameren Energy Generating Co, a subsidiary of Ameren Corp. (AEE), announced that it is offering $250 million of its 6.30% Senior Notes, Series I, due 2020. The company expects the transaction to close on November 17, 2009.
Ameren Energy Generating Co intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay outstanding short-term debt, consisting of borrowings under its revolving credit facilities and/or the Ameren Corporation non-state-regulated subsidiary money pool, incurred to finance capital expenditures and to fund other corporate requirements and for other general corporate purposes.
