The number of building permits issued for residential buildings slumped 27.7% year-on-year in October, the National Institute of Statistics reported on Friday. On a monthly basis, the number of residential building permits issued dropped 13.1%. In October, a total of 4,103 permits issued for construction of residential buildings, of which 67.1% was for rural areas.
In the first ten months of the year, residential building permits cumulatively totaled 41,861, down 21.2% over the same period of previous year.
