Yet another actor is set to take on the role of John Lennon. Christopher Eccleston has been picked to portray the former Beatle in a TV biopic commissioned by the BBC.
The movie, called Naked Lennon, will cover Lennon during the end of the Beatles era, depicting the time from 1967 to 1971. It will include the death of manager Brian Epstein and Lennon's relationship with Yoko Ono.
Eccleston has appeared in a long list of movies, including Gone in 60 Seconds and G.I. Joe. He has also played Doctor Who on TV.
Another Lennon biopic, Nowhere Boy, is set to be released in December in the U.K. and deals with the musician as a teenager during the birth of the Beatles. Aaron Johnson stars in the Lennon role.
