Arbitron Reveals Resignation Of Its Precident, CEO Michael Skarzynski - Quick Facts

Arbitron, Inc. (ARB) announced that, the company's president and chief executive officer, and a member of the company's board, Michael Skarzynski has resigned, effective immediately.

Skarzynski and the company's board together determined that he had violated a company policy in a matter entirely unrelated to the financial performance of the company. Accordingly, Skarzynski has submitted his resignation to the company.

Skarzynski will be replaced by William Kerr, a member of the company's board, will become Arbitron's president and chief executive officer.

William Kerr has been a director of Arbitron since May 2007. From July 2006 to the present, Kerr has been chairman of the board of Meredith Corp. Kerr has been a member of the boards of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., since November 2006; Whirlpool Corp. since June 2006.
