Spectra Energy Corp (SE) reported fourth quarter net income-controlling interests of $219 million, compared to $171 million last year. Earnings per share were $0.34, up from $0.28 in the previous year.
Ongoing net income was $217 million or $0.33 per share, compared to $197 million or $0.32 per share in the same quarter a year earlier.
On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.33 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Operating revenues grew to $1.3 billion from $1.26 billion in the prior year quarter.
Six analysts estimated revenues of $1.22 billion.
