Rihanna has revealed a few details about the video for her next single, "Rude Boy."

In the video, the Barbadian singer reportedly riffs on her Caribbean heritage, bringing themes and colors associated with her native culture.

In a recent interview with Carson Daly, Rihanna explained that the video makes use of racy, colorful costumes as a nod to the popular island fashion. In photos released by her record label, Island/Def Jam, the singer appears in a revealing gold net outfit and also sits on a zebra in a matching zebra print uni-suit.

"[It's] completely different from any other video I've shot before," she told Daly. "A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. 'Rude Boy' is more playing along the lines from my roots. We used a lot of color, but also the costumes were very Jamaican dance-hall queen type."

The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas, who also directed the video for Hard, and is set to debut on February 11.
