Emcore Corp. (EMKR) reported a first quarter net loss of $13.64 million or $0.17 per share, compared to a loss of $53.45 million or $0.69 per share in the same period last year.
After excluding certain non-cash and other adjustments, the company had non-GAAP net loss of $7.07 million or $0.09 per share for the quarter.
Revenue for the quarter decreased to $42.40 million from $54.06 million in the corresponding period last year.
Looking forward into the second quarter, the company expects consolidated revenue to be in the range of $45 million to $47 million, with increases in both the Photovoltaics and Fiber Optics segments.
