Specialist Energy Group Unit Gets New Order Worth Almost £3 Mln - Quick Facts

Specialist Energy Group PLC (SEGR.L) Thursday said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Hayward Tyler Group Ltd received new orders worth almost £3 million.

According to the contract, Hayward Tyler will provide nine Boiler Circulation Pumps or BCP's to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd or BHEL, the engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-related infrastructure sector.

BHEL is expected to use the pumps in two new power station projects namely Shree Singaji and Avathar Bandhar.

The BCP's are due to be delivered in 2011 and brings the total number of pumps recently ordered by BHEL to over 25. The order is worth in excess of £2 million.

Hayward Tyler also received over £0.7million order for two Supercritical BCP's for Shanghai Boiler Works Ltd's or SBW Xing Hai power station project. SBW is China's supplier of boilers to the Chinese power industry.

Ewan Lloyd-Baker, Chief Executive Officer of SEG plc, commented, "India and China are key markets for Hayward Tyler. In line with the recent interim announcement we are delighted to be growing our order book through extending our presence in these important export markets. We continue to focus the business on providing mission critical equipment to end markets that have significant growth potential."
