Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA entered into a preliminary purchase agreement with St1 Polska Sp. z o.o. to acquire St1 fuel station network in Poland. The company said that the purchase would increase the local network of Statoil stations in Poland to 315 outlets, representing a 5% increase in the size of the network.
St1 Polska Sp. z o.o. is part of St1 group whose businesses include fuel retail networks in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Poland.
The acquisition of St1 fuel station network in Poland by Statoil Poland Sp. z o.o, a fully owned unit of Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA, is expected to be completed during first quarter of 2011.
