Alicia Keys topped the Billboard 200 album chart with "The Diary of Alicia Keys" on December 20, 2003.
The album was the singer's sophomore effort, following up on her mega-popular debut, "Songs In A Minor." Keys, just 22 years old when her second album was released, handled much of the production work herself. The LP featured the hits "If I Ain't Got You" and "You Don't Know My Name."
"The Diary of Alicia Keys" took over number one from Jay-Z's "The Black Album." After a week's run in the top spot, it would get knocked out by "Soulful" by Ruben Studdard. The album would return to the number-one slot for another reign in January.
