Entertainment solutions provider Amaya Gaming Group Inc. (AYA.V) Thursday said it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Chartwell Technology Inc. (CWH.TO), a provider of games, gaming systems and platform for the regulated online casino gaming industry.
Amaya acquired Chartwell for a total consideration of about C$22.77 million. Chartwell shareholders received $14.5 million in cash and 2.8 million Amaya common shares.
The shares of Chartwell is expected to be de-listed from the Toronto Stock Exchange at the close of business on July 18, 2011.
As part of the transaction, Amaya has granted an aggregate of 456,000 options to officers and employees of Chartwell.
