Justin Timberlake is reportedly in talks to star opposite Clint Eastwood in the new sports drama "Trouble With the Curve." The film centers on an aging baseball scout who brings his daughter on his final trip to watching a rising young star.

Eastwood is slated to play the lead role while Amy Adams has been confirmed for the role of Eastwood's daughter. "Scream" and "Scooby-Doo" star Matthew Lillard has also reportedly signed on for a part in the drama. It follows his successful turn in George Clooney's hit "The Descendants."

According to ew.com Timberlake may appear as Eastwood's rival in the film. Director Robert Lorenz makes his debut with the film, though he has been a longtime producing partner with Eastwood. It will be Clint's first new film since 2008's "Gran Torino" and his first for a director other than himself since 1993's "In the Line of Fire."
