Nickelodeon Sets Premiere Date For 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'

The new animated series of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," will premiere on Saturday, September 19 at 11 AM EST on Nickelodeon, according to an exclusive report from Entertainment Weekly. The show launches with back-to-back episodes.

The first series features 26-episodes of the ninja-trained reptiles—Leonardo (voiced by Jason Biggs of "American Pie"), Raphael (Sean Astin of "Lord of the Rings"), Michelangelo (Greg Cipes of "Teen Titans") and Donatello (Rob Paulsen, who voiced Raphael in the original animated series).

"Funnier and with more Ninjutsu than ever before, the show will explore the companionship of four teenage brothers learning to rely on themselves and one another as they unravel the mystery of their existence and grow to become the heroes in a half-shell that they are destined to be," said the network of the program.
