Varian Medical Systems (VAR), said Thursday that it has established its subsidiary in Korea called Varian Medical Systems Korea, based in Seoul.
The company said that this subsidiary will support the launch and rollout of the its TrueBeam treatment system and will provide a local base for all the company's business units.
Varian noted that the new office will also provide local support for Seoul-based HDX Corporation, which has distributed Varian's products in South Korea for 30 years. HDX will remain the primary sales and distribution channel for all Varian's systems in the country.
Varian Medical Systems Korea is being established with the intention to optimize customer satisfaction through faster response times, to strengthen the country's technical support capability, to help meet regulatory and safety compliance requirements, to provide better market information, and further build upon the relationship with HDX.
