Following the release of the Reuters/University of Michigan's final consumer sentiment survey results for October at 9:55 am ET Friday, the dollar slipped further against the yen but changed little against the rest of major currencies.
The greenback is now trading at 79.65 against the yen, 1.6116 against the pound, 0.9356 against the franc and 1.2928 against the euro.
