Extending its recent downtrend, the yen reached 5-day lows of 103.48 against the euro and 85.65 against the Swiss franc around 4:00 am ET Wednesday.
The yen also reached session's lows against the rest of majors, falling as low as 79.74 against the US dollar and 128.33 against the pound around 4:02 am ET.
The Japanese unit also extended its recent downtrend against the commodity dollars, slipping to 65.52 against the New Zealand dollar, 79.90 against the Canadian dollar and 82.80 against the aussie.
