The European shared currency shed some of its recent gains against the Swiss franc in early deals on Tuesday.
The euro that advanced to more than a 2-month high of 1.2147 against the franc around 5:00 am ET fell to as low as 1.2109 before holding steady around 5:10 am ET.
The next likely target levels for the pair are seen at 1.2180 on the upside and 1.2080 on the downside.
