Dawn Robinson, the En Vogue songstress, has joined the cast of R&B Divas: L.A., a move she recently sat down to discuss with ThatGrapeJuice.net.

Robinson says the program differs from other reality shows in that it is not centered on conflicts between the cast members.

"That's not the world I, or any of the En Vogue members, come from," she said. "So I didn't want to be known for that. I kept avoiding it."

"I've met with many production companies over the years, but nobody seemed to understand the show I wanted to do. I wanted to do something positive and uplifting for our people and women. But, when [producer] Phil [Thorton] told me the premise of Divas and the other cast members, I thought they didn't want the drama either [but] after I met the girls, everything was positive so I decided to do it."

The show, which features additional cast members Kelly Price and Chantae Moore, Lil' Mo, Claudette Ortiz and Michel'le, follows the ladies as they attempt to re-start their careers.
