Korn brought back longtime guitarist Brian "Head" Welch into the fold to help the band record its 11th studio album, The Paradigm Shift. It's his first recording with the group since 2003's Take a Look in the Mirror.

Welch told Rolling Stone that, following his drug rehab, the Korn experience is much more mellow.

"It's no secret I was into the drugs, so crazy stuff, like having to finish our blow right before we got to the border because they were gonna come check to see if we had anything," he said. "Those crazy days are long gone."

In May, when the LP was finished, fronter Jonathan Davis hit Twitter to sing its praises:

"@Korn record is done by far the best album we have ever done so excited!!!"

The Paradigm Shift is due September 30.
