Dolly Parton will use 3D tech in her upcoming production of A Christmas Carol at Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The holograms will feature Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future.
"I love the fact that Dollywood grows with the times and we'll have a hologram," said Parton. "I think people will really love that I'm always going to be here."
Parton stars as the Ghost of Christmas Past in the performance, which runs from November 9 through January 4 as part of Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival.
Parton previously announced February tour dates for Australia and June tour dates for the U.K. to promote her upcoming album, Blue Smoke.
She told the L.A. Times that the new LP "tends to have more of the bluegrass-country flavor."
