Beyoncé dazzled fans and media at the release of her self-titled "visual album" in New York City on Saturday.

Wearing a leopard print Tom Ford dress and boots, the 32-year-old superstar arrived at the New York School of Visual Arts, where popcorn bags labeled with her name were given to guests as the 17 videos for her album were screened. She later answered questions from fans on Instagram.

At the event, Bey spoke out about the message behind her latest, self-released album: "More than the music, I'm proud of myself as a woman. The biggest message is owning your imperfections and all the things that make you interesting because I refuse to allow someone to put me in anybody's box."

She added that she was very nervous about self-releasing the album through iTunes: "I was so scared. I had already gone through all the horrible ways it could go in my mind."
