The pound that eased from early highs against other major currencies, declined further in early European deals on Tuesday.
The pound dropped to 1.4942 against the franc and a session's low of 1.6844 against the greenback, reversing from early highs of 1.4987 and 1.6884, respectively.
The pound eased back to 172.31 against the yen from an early multi-day high of 172.74.
The pound hit a 4-day low of 0.8174 against the euro, off early high of 0.8149.
If the pound extends slide, it is likely to find support around 1.68 against the greenback, 171.5 against the yen, 1.49 against the franc and 0.822 against the euro.
