Kip Moore says that his musical influences are many and varied. Speaking with Ram Country he listed Bruce Springsteen and Motown legends like Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Smokey Robinson, and Stevie Wonder among his faves.
"The main thing for Springsteen, and what I'm always trying to do myself, is to be genuine and bring that realness into what I'm doing," he began.
"I see a lot of posing on stage. I see a lot of artists thinking, 'I'm gonna smile because I think I'm supposed to smile at this moment, and I'm going to flip my hair back because that's what's expected of me.' I feel like that stuff fades."
He added, "After shows, we have a tent outside, and we all have some drinks and pick up our guitars and put on a playlist of Motown. I spend a lot of time listening to Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, and I'm a big Smokey fan. I think Stevie Wonder is possibly the all-time greatest musician."
Moore is currently at work on his second album.
