Noel Gallagher has put the music industry on blast for changing its global album release day to Friday. The release date has traditionally been on Tuesday for decades and now Gallagher says "the world's gone f*****g mad on it."
Speaking with NME, Gallagher speculated as to how exactly the change came about.
"Some f****r has focused group that in a room somewhere to maximise some amount of record sales: 'If we have it on a Friday, then by the time it gets to Monday we'll already have sold a million albums - if one is Taylor Swift, presumably."
He adds, "Unfortunately it won't make s**t albums any better, will it? They'll still sound s**t on a f*****g Friday."
