Cat Cora of "Iron Chef" has divorced her wife Jennifer Cora after 17 together. The two released a statement to People explaining their decision.
"It is with great sadness, that after 17 years, a tremendous amount work, careful consideration and heavy hearts, my wife and I have mutually decided to no longer remain married," the couple said. "In love, there is a season, a reason and a lifetime."
The pair were married for two years after 17 years in a domestic partnership. They have four children together.
"We are forever parents to our boys and are jointly committed to raising them in a peaceful, nurturing and healthy environment," the statement added.
Notwithstanding the remark, Jennifer, according to E!, has requested full custody of the kids, while Cat has asked for joint physical custody. Jennifer is also seeking spousal support.
