Coldplay's latest album, A Head Full of Dreams, has reached number one on the official U.K. chart, marking the seventh time the band has reached the milestone in its career. The news came just one week after the band played with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl halftime show.

According to The Official U.K. Charts Company, the album's sales spiked by 8,000 copies sold after their Super Bowl 50 performance on Monday, February 8.

At the end of 2015, the Charts Company released its list of top selling albums of 2015, featuring Coldplay's at number nine. Adele's smash-hit return album 25 was the biggest record in the U.K. during the year, followed by Ed Sheeran's x, and Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour.

Coldplay begins the US leg of its Head Full of Dreams tour on July 16 at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and will continue through September 3 when they'll wrap things up at the Levi's Stadium in San Francisco.
