Joey Floyd, a longtime member of Toby Keith's Easy Money Band, has died.
According to a Facebook post from Keith, Floyd had been battling cancer and passed away on February 14. "There will be a hole on stage and a hole in the hearts of all that loved him," Keith says. "Rest in peace ol' friend."
Floyd played fiddle and banjo in the Easy Money Band. Additionally, in the 1980 movie Honeysuckle Rose, he played Jamie Bonham, the son of Willie Nelson's character in the film.
Floyd is survived by his wife Laurin.
Floyd is the second Easy Money Band member who has died in recent years. In 2013, bass player and band leader Carl "Chuck" Goff Jr. died following a car crash. He was 54 years old.
