Noel Gallagher has offered up his opinion on the new release from the Stone Roses. Speaking with NME, Gallagher revealed that he ran into a member of the band at the supermarket recently and got an update about the progress on their comeback release.
"I am very excited, for them mainly," Gallagher told NME of the band's return.
"They're going to play some new songs. I bumped into Ian [Brown] in a supermarket recently. He was buying chocolate flavored shower gel. This is not a joke. He leant and said 'have you tried this?' and I said of course I hadn't. He swears by it, says it's amazing. And before it turned into a photoshoot with everyone and their cameraphones, he was telling me how excited they are by it all. He said it was like they were making their first record again."
Gallagher's comments come at a busy time for the Stone Roses, who have also confirmed a string of tour dates.
Stone Roses Tour Dates:
Tokyo, Nippon Budokhan (June 2, 3)
Manchester, Etihad Stadium (June 15, 17, 18, 19)
New York, Madison Square Garden (June 30)
T In The Park (July 8)
Dublin, Marlay Park (July 9)
