Hozier is at work on the follow-up to his breakout debut release and has opened up about the songwriting process for the release. Speaking with the BBC's Beats 1 radio show, the Irish hitmaker said he's thrilled to bring his new creations to life.
"I've never been so eager to make music. I'm itching for it. In a big way. If this opportunity had happened at a different time I would have just been spent, but I had had maybe six days of quiet and I can't really write on the road. But when it all stops and things are quiet again you're just ready for things to fall out of you. I have a phone full of memos and loads of notebooks with little melodic ideas," he explained.
Expanding on his troubles writing remotely he added, "There's many times recording on a phone and trying to transfer it into my laptop and into software. It doesn't feel the same."
