The singer and actress, Selena Gomez was diagnosed with lupus over a year ago. Since that time she has continued to work. However, now Gomez has made a decision to take time off and focus on her well-being.
Gomez released her Revival album last year. In promotion of the record she has been on a massive world tour. The tour hasn't been easy though. Gomez told Rolling Stone that she has been suffering from "anxiety, panic attacks and depression."
Gomez's decision to take time off was brought about by the increasing health issues she had been facing. Gomez explained, "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. She then went on to say, "I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."
