Anita Baker, who shocked the music world by announcing her retirement earlier this year, has confirmed that she is planning a Las Vegas Residency.
In response to a fan's tweet, the "I Apologize" singer said on Twitter last week, "u guys congregate here & bring me ur Plans & Dreams 4 Us … it seems 2 go from Your Mouth 2 God's ears & Manifest N2 Reality. Vegas Residency u say?… Done. ANNND, DONE!!… sO Much More 2 share #OURCELEBRATION2019."
The R&B icon did not reveal the dates or venue for her Las Vegas show.
The announcement sent social media into an uproar. "Queen Anita Baker is getting a residency in Vegas? I'm definitely tryna get flewed out for that!," one of her fans tweeted.
