John Legend is co-producing a musical TV show for Amazon inspired by Sandra Bullock's college life in the 1980s.
Akiva Goldsman will also co-produce the series, which deals with subjects like drag culture, mental health, and the AIDS epidemic in the deep south.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series will center on an independent woman in the deep South going up against the oppressive cultural norms of the area and finding love, community, and an identity of her own.
Legend is currently a judge on "The Voice" and has also served as executive producer for the docuseries "Sing It On" and the animated short film Crow: The Legend.
Bullock attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1987.
