Longtime Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmit has released a new single, "The Good Fight," featuring guest vocals by Sheryl Crow.
"I recorded a new song 'The Good Fight' with my friend Sheryl Crow," Schmit said in a brief statement. "There couldn't be any better time than right now to release this."
The single, Schmit's first new music since his 2016 solo album, Leap of Faith, is a nearly 8-minute long soulful mid-tempo rock song.
"Think before you talk, it matters what we do/ Gotta keep your head to get the message through/Lead from the left, and do what's right/ It's getting harder every day to put up the good fight," Schmit and Crow sing in the chorus.
Crow recently teamed up with Schmit's Eagles bandmate Joe Walsh for the song "Still the Good Old Days" off her collaborative album Threads.
