Mariah Carey on Monday became the only singer to have a song top the Billboard Hot 100 in four separate decades.
Carey's iconic holiday classic, "All I Want For Christmas is You," was ranked No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated January 4.
An elated Carey did not conceal her joy. S he took to Twitter to say, ""Yaaaaaaaaay!!! WE. DID. IT," accompanied by several celebration emojis.
"But.... what's a decade?" the 49 year-old singer and actress humorously added.
In the same post, Carey shared the Twitter link of Billboard's announcement about the achievement.
It says, "MariahCarey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is officially No. 1 on the #Hot100 for a third week."
"As this is the first chart of the 2020s, she becomes the first artist in history to rule the chart in four separate decades: 1990s, 2000s, 2010s & 2020s," Billboard Charts' official Twitter handle added.
