Pop singer, Miley Cyrus has withdrawn from the World Tour Bushfire Relief concert that was previously scheduled to take place on Friday, March 13, at the Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

The 27-year-old singer explained that she has chosen to pull out of the show on short notice on account of the advice of "local, state, federal and international government authorities, including the Center for Disease Control, to reduce potential health risks in response to the current global health crisis," namely the global coronavirus pandemic.

The lineup for the concert originally featured Cyrus, Lil Nas X, The Veronicas, and DJ Seb Fontaine, but the entire event has now been scrapped due to Cyrus' unexpected withdrawal.

"We are very sad that Miley Cyrus has announced that she will not be travelling to Melbourne and that, as a result, the World Tour Bushfire Relief concert at Lakeside Stadium on Friday 13th March can no longer go ahead," the organizers shared in a statement following Cyrus' announcement.
