U.S. Stocks Mostly Lower In Afternoon Trading

Stocks have moved mostly lower during trading on Thursday, giving back ground following the rally seen over the course of the previous session.

Currently, the major averages are off their worst levels but stuck in negative territory. The Dow is down 306.52 points or 1.2 percent at 24,327.34, the Nasdaq is down 50.28 points or 0.6 percent at 8,864.43 and the S&P 500 is down 31.01 points or 1.1 percent at 2,908.50.
