Fleetwood Mac vocalist Stevie Nicks recently spoke with Rolling Stone about what has been keeping her busy during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
The 71-year-old singer, who had already decided to take the year off from touring, reported back that though she had hoped to spend the days working on a new multimedia project revolving around Mac's 1975 hit song, "Rhiannon," that has proved to be difficult, as she is obviously not able to get out of the house and meet with the people who might be interested in the work.
It was the singer's goal to create a book or film about the myth of the Welsh Witch that features prominently in the aforementioned song.
"I was going to talk to everybody about making my movie and do some recording and meet new people. And, well, you're not going to meet any new people. Because you can't leave your house," she said. "So you have your dog and your three friends."
Nicks has also been suffering from the Epstein-Barr virus since January, so sticking to a normal sleeping schedule has also been difficult.
"I don't get to sleep until six or seven every morning because I just can't sleep anymore," she shared. "So I go to sleep about seven o'clock. And then I have somebody come in and wake me up at two o'clock, and it takes me an hour to wake up because I haven't had enough sleep. And then I get up and go to the big TV room and I and I sit in there and watch the news."
