Singer-songwriter and guitarist Ted Nugent recently sat down for an interview with AXS TV's "Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar," in which he revealed that his favorite guitar player of all time is the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards.
"Music is so diverse," he added as a caveat, before sharing that Richards is "the most true musician rock star."
"He's 24/7… he must have been drunk on every recording… but he's in control" Nugent continued. "It's a controlled slice [of] nasty primal burp, and I love that stuff!"
In the same interview, Nugent also shared that the "music" that he is listening to the most these days is his own licks; "I pound out these licks, that if there was a music industry, I'd have another platinum album," he joked. "Pure, grinding, rhythmical, exciting, sexy, honky-tonky escapades."
