Silicon Labs (SLAB) on Monday announced its plan to begin a "modified Dutch auction" tender offer to purchase up to $1 billion common shares at a price of not less than $140 per share nor greater than $160 per share.

The company aims to commence the tender offer on August 3, which would expire on August 30, 2021.
