Coldplay, Ice Nine Kills Top Billboard's Rock Album Charts

Coldplay and Ice Nine Kills have topped Billboard's Rock Album charts with their new releases.

Coldplay's ninth studio album Music of the Spheres debuted at No. 1 on Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums with 57,000 equivalent album units earned in the October 15-21 tracking period, according to MRC Data.

This is the band's sixth Top Rock Albums chart-topper and fifth on Alternative Albums chart.

Ice Nine Kills' Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2 topped the Hard Rock Albums chart. The album earned 25,000 units to become the band's first Hard Rock Albums chart topper. Their previous best was The Silver Scream, which peaked at No. 2 in 2018.
