Shares of BioXcel Therapeutics, Inc. (BTAI) are down more than 14% in the morning trade on Wednesday after the company said the FDA has extended review period of the new drug application for BXCL501 for the acute treatment of agitation associated with schizophrenia and bipolar disorders I and II.
The decision date has been extended by three months to April 5, 2022 from the previous date of January 5, 2022.
The company said, no additional data has been requested by the FDA.
BTAI, touched a new low of $18.82 this morning, before edging up to $19.59 currently.
