The Killers To Drop New Single 'Boy' Next Month

The Killers have confirmed that their new single, "Boy," will be released on August 5.

The new song was recorded during the sessions for the band's latest album, Pressure Machine.

The band gave "Boy" a live debut at Madrid's Mad Cool festival earlier this month.

Brandon Flowers explained about the song ahead of that performance.

"We've been teasing it a little bit. It was the song that took me back home and was sort of the impetus for writing [2021 album] Pressure Machine. What's interesting is that it just didn't make it onto the record - but its absence is not a reflection of the quality of the song," he told NME.

"There's an optimism to it. It's in the dust, it's in the gutter, and it's looking at the stars," The Killers lead singer added. "It's writing in more of a new wave vehicle."

The Killers have promised to release more singles this year, followed by a full record "probably early next year."
