Shares of personal finance company, NerdWallet, Inc. (NRDS) are up more than 36% Thursday morning after reporting better-than-expected third-quarter earnings. The company's fourth-quarter revenue outlook came in above analysts' view.
NerdWallet reported profit of $0.7 million or $0.01 per share in the third quarter, compared with loss of $7.8 million or $0.16 per share in the same quarter a year ago. Analysts on average expected loss of $0.13 per share.
Quarterly revenue increased 45% at $142.6 million.
For the fourth quarter, revenue is expected in the range of $138 million-$141 million. Analysts' expectation stands at $131.49 million.
